Royal University’s Youth Festival 2025 aims to create a society free from discrimination. The Youth Festival 2025 took place at the Royal University in the capital to promote the nation’s youth’s cultural traditions and inventiveness.
The festival was recently launched at the Royal University of Dhaka’s permanent campus by Professor Dr. ANM Meshkat Uddin, vice-chancellor, with the goal of creating a community free from discrimination. A pitha festival, a photography contest, and a graffiti exhibition were among the events that were part of the festival. The youth’s enthusiasm caused the music festival to become a buzz in the afternoon.
Senior faculty and university authorities, including Professor Dr. Dipu Siddiqui, dean of the Faculty of Arts, Associate Professor Malay Sarkar, chairperson of the Hotel and Tourism Department, Murad Hasan, chairman of the Business Administration Department, Convener of Security and Management, Assistant Professor Obaidur Rahman, Assistant Professor Solaiman Hossain, Shamima Siddika, lecturer of the Library Management and Information Science Department, and many others, attended the exhibition’s launch event.
Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. ANM Meshkat Uddin, who presided over the inaugural discussion, stated that Royal University is a non-profit educational establishment that offers high-quality instruction at a reasonable price. A non-discriminatory educational system will be established in large part thanks to such measures.
According to Brigadier General (Retd.) ASM Mushfiqur Rahman, the university registrar, young people are the primary force behind social transformation. By combining cultural activities with high-quality education, they can contribute to the creation of an ideal society.
According to the festival’s organizer, Professor Dr. Muhammad Muzakkirul Huda, these kinds of gatherings are crucial for fostering young people’s creativity.
Md. Tarek Uddin, EVP of Premier Bank’s Head of Brand Marketing and Communication, commended the students’ artistic and cultural endeavors and encouraged them to carry on in the future.
Following the introductory remarks, the Vice-Chancellor opened the “History of the July Uprising” graffiti exhibition, which included over two hundred pieces of graffiti. “Protest and Dreams in the Language of Creativity” was the topic of the graffiti exhibition. This show featured images taken by both Royal University and Dhaka University students.
On the occasion, Dr. also spoke. Muhammad Alamgir Mia (Secretary, Bangladesh Truck and Covered Van Drivers Union), Mohammad Mizanur Rahman (Treasurer, Bangladesh Truck and Covered Van Drivers Association), Professor Murad Hasan (Chairman, Department of Business Administration), Sabuj Ahmed (Principal, The New School Dhaka), and Altaf Uddin Ahmed (Chief Instructor, NIP).
The youth’s excitement during a riveting music festival in the festival’s last section added to its vibrancy.
