According to the report, Junaid Ahmed Palak spent 26 thousand 863 dollars for advertising on Facebook from September 2022 to July 25 of this year; which is currently more than 31 lakh 60 thousand 974 taka in Bangladesh money.
Apart from this, mobile financial services (MFS) companies have spent the most cash among the companies. Their cost is 37 thousand 430 dollars.
The report also mentions, ‘Rupganj Katha’, ‘Balor Pathe’, ‘Successful Bangladesh’, ‘Amar Netri Amar Ahankar’, ‘Voice of Generation’, ‘Call’, ‘Nauka Manei’, ‘BD People Voice’, etc. Pages have recently spent a large sum of money.
These pages have recently published various posts on controversial and critical topics. These pages can be seen, and various posts are being given around the anti-quota movement. These posts are being boosted again.
“Rupganjher Katha”, “Parjanmer Awaaz”, “Panjeri Publications Limited”, “Junaid Ahmed Palak”, and “Daily News” were in the first row of the last 90 days of expenditure. However, in recent times, the advertising expenditure on some pages like ‘Ahban’, ‘Amrai Bangladesh’, ‘Valor Pathe’, ‘Dushmon’, ‘Amar Desh Amar Ahankar’, ‘Abar Dash Truck’, ‘BDNews Insider’ has increased.
Meanwhile, the country’s political parties have also increased their attention to Facebook advertising. Among them, the parties are conducting activities through the pages of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP), BNP Media Cell, Bangladesh Awami League, Awami League Media Cell, etc.
The analysis shows that about 100 dollars are being spent to boost the posts given on these pages. Out of this, most money is being spent in Dhaka and Chittagong region. Barisal and Rangpur divisions are spending the least amount of money.
