Bangladesh Krishi Bank Employees’ Union Celebrates 62nd Founding Anniversary

Bangladesh Krishi Bank Employees’ Union (CBA) B-985 celebrated its 62nd founding anniversary with a colorful and festive programme at the bank’s head office on Wednesday.

The event was chaired by the union’s President, Foyez Uddin Ahmed. Greetings were delivered by Md. Zahid Hossain, Chief Coordinator (Deputy General Manager) of the Bangladesh Krishi Bank Officers’ Welfare Association, and Syed Liaqat Hossain, Convener (Deputy General Manager) of the BKB Officers’ Welfare Association. The welcome address was delivered by the union’s General Secretary, Md. Miraj Hossain.

Speakers highlighted the union’s 62-year journey, recalling its history and contributions to securing employees’ legitimate rights, safeguarding professional dignity, promoting welfare activities, and protecting the interests of bank staff. They also reflected on the organisation’s achievements since its establishment and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening its activities through unity, discipline, accountability, and cooperation among officers and employees.

The second session of the programme featured the Dhaka Unit Committee Council and Biennial Conference of the CBA. Among the distinguished speakers were Md. Sahabuddin Ahmed, Md. Shafiuddin Ahmed, Md. Sirajul Islam, and Md. Aslam.

The celebration was attended by central and unit-level leaders of the organisation, along with invited guests.
