The pass percentage for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and similar exams has significantly decreased to 58.83 per cent, marking the lowest level in the last ten years.

According to a bdnews24.com report, 69,097 individuals, or 9.5 percent, achieved a GPA-5 in the public examinations that conclude 12th grade and initiate university.

In 2024, 77.78 percent of students succeeded in the HSC exams and 145,911 earned a GPA-5.

This indicates that the pass rate decreased by 18.95 percent compared to the previous year, whereas the count of GPA-5 awardees dropped by 76,814.

The education board chairmen revealed the public exam results from their private offices at 10:00 am on Thursday. As always, the outcomes can be accessed by students on the board websites and through mobile SMS.
