B.Mirror Desk: Jamuna Bank PLC has signed participation agreements with Bangladesh Bank under refinance schemes for the Development of the ICT Sector, Export Diversification, and Establishment of Green Industry and Green Factory Buildings, with a view to facilitating financing support for its customers. The agreements were signed at Bangladesh Bank’s Sustainable Finance Department at its Head Office. Mirza Elias Uddin Ahmed, Managing Director & CEO of Jamuna Bank PLC, and A K M Nurun Nabi, Director of the Sustainable Finance Department, Bangladesh Bank, signed the agreements on behalf of their respective organizations.
Under the arrangements, eligible Jamuna Bank customers will be able to access refinance facilities in line with Bangladesh Bank’s applicable guidelines and eligibility criteria. The schemes are aimed at expanding financing for the ICT sector, supporting export diversification and promoting environmentally sustainable industrial development. Mohammad Prashanta Samir, Head of Sustainable Finance Unit, and Md. Syful Islam, AVP of Jamuna Bank PLC, along with senior officials of Bangladesh Bank, were present at the signing ceremony.
