HSC pass rate falls to 58.83%, the lowest in ten years

The pass percentage for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and similar exams has significantly decreased to 58.83 per cent, marking the lowest level in the last ten years.

According to a bdnews24.com report, 69,097 individuals, or 9.5 percent, achieved a GPA-5 in the public examinations that conclude 12th grade and initiate university.

In 2024, 77.78 percent of students succeeded in the HSC exams and 145,911 earned a GPA-5.

This indicates that the pass rate decreased by 18.95 percent compared to the previous year, whereas the count of GPA-5 awardees dropped by 76,814.

The education board chairmen revealed the public exam results from their private offices at 10:00 am on Thursday. As always, the outcomes can be accessed by students on the board websites and through mobile SMS.
