National Fisheries Week inaugurated in Tangail

Mrinal Tangail Correspondent: National Fisheries Week was launched in Tangail with the release of fish fry, a rally, and a discussion meeting. On Monday morning (August 18), fish fry were released into the DC Lake of the city. Subsequently, a vibrant rally commenced from the front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, traversing the key roads of the city. In the afternoon, Deputy Commissioner Sharifa Haque served as the chief guest at the discussion meeting held during the inaugural ceremony in the Deputy Commissioner’s conference room. The event was presided over by Tangail District Fisheries Officer Md. Kamruzzaman Hossain, with speeches from various dignitaries including Tangail Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Abdullah Al Mamun, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Mohammad Shafiqul Islam, Additional Police Superintendent of Naval Police Humayun Kabir, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Nahida Akhter, and Tangail Press Club President Advocate Zafar Ahmed, among others.
