B Mirror Report: Southeast Bank PLC. and North South University have officially launched an exclusive VISA Branded Student Credit and Prepaid Card at the NSU campus in Bashundhara, Dhaka recently.

The inauguration ceremony was graced by M. A. Kashem, Chairman of Southeast Bank PLC., Rehana Rahman, Vice Chairperson of Southeast Bank PLC., Professor Dr. Nasar U. Ahmed, Pro-Vice-Chancellor of North South University and Benajir Ahmed, Board of Trustees of North South University.

As part of this initiative, Southeast Bank has introduced credit cards for NSU faculty and staff, along with Student Credit and Prepaid Cards for students. Faculty members and staff will enjoy a lifetime annual fee waiver on their credit cards, along with suitable credit limits based on eligibility. In addition, students will receive Tk.100 cashback on their first prepaid card transaction and a waiver of SMS charges for the first year.

The cards are designed to facilitate both domestic and international transactions, including tuition payments and foreign university application fees, making financial services more accessible and convenient for students.

The launch event was attended by several senior officials from both institutions. The campaign reflects a strong collaboration between Southeast Bank PLC. and North South University, aimed at expanding access to secure, convenient, and digital financial solutions for the academic community.
