BB changed the transaction hours of banks during Ramadan

The transaction schedule for banks during the month of Ramadan has been modified by Bangladesh Bank. Bank transactions will take place for five hours, from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm. Nonetheless, the banks’ office hours will be from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm.

The Bangladesh Bank announcement states that the banks will adhere to this new timetable as scheduled banks. During office hours, Zuhr prayers will take place from 1:15 to 1:30 pm. During this time, internal coordination will ensure that transactions continue.

Banks are normally open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., but during Ramadan, this time has been altered. Following the conclusion of the month of Ramadan, the prior schedule will be restored.
