A meeting took place on september 8, 2024 between the Board of Directors of Union Bank and the esteemed Governor of Bangladesh Bank, Ahsan H. Mansur. The meeting was held at the invitation of Bangladesh Bank. At the beginning of the meeting, Union Bank’s Chairman, Fareed Uddin Ahmed, expressed gratitude and thanks to the Governor for his role in forming the board. During the meeting, the Governor inquired about the overall situation of Union Bank.

Chairman Fareed Uddin Ahmed provided a detailed presentation on the bank’s status. The Governor offered specific recommendations for the swift improvement of Union Bank and assured support from Bangladesh Bank to resolve any issues. The meeting was also attended by Bangladesh Bank’s Deputy Governor Mrs. Nurun Nahar and Executive Director and spokesperson Md. Mejbaul Haque, along with other senior officials.
