The Dhaka court has issued a travel ban on Md. Ekramul Haque, Managing Director of Lovello Ice Cream, along with his wife Mrs. Nargis Haque and their two daughters, Muhsinina Sarika Ekram and Muhsinina Tarika Ekram, amid allegations of defaulting on a loan from Shimanto Bank.

The order was issued on Wednesday, 26 November, by Dhaka Metropolitan Senior Special Judge Sabbir Foyez, following a petition filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC). The court’s bench assistant, Md. Riaz Hossain, confirmed the development.

ACC Assistant Director Hafizur Rahman submitted the petition, stating that Ekramul Haque has allegedly failed to repay a loan to Shimanto Bank Limited. The petition also cited credible information suggesting that the accused could attempt to flee abroad at any time.

The travel restriction has been imposed to ensure a smooth and uninterrupted investigation into the matter.
