The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) has taken a significant step towards digital transformation with the official launch of its Smart Submission System (SSS). Developed under the guidance of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), the system enables real-time, secure, and efficient submission of market-related documents and disclosures, enhancing transparency and operational speed in the capital market.
The launch event was held at DSE Tower in Nikunja, with DSE Chairman Mominul Islam presiding. BSEC Commissioner Md. Saifuddin attended as the chief guest. Other notable participants included senior officials from the Ministry of Finance, DBAR, CSE, BSEC, BAPLC, ICAB, and DSE’s management and technology teams.
Speaking at the event, DSE’s Acting Managing Director Mohammad Asadur Rahman highlighted that the system is a major milestone in the Exchange’s digital journey, allowing listed companies and stakeholders to submit documents online without physical paperwork. CTO Dr. Md. Asifur Rahman added that the platform reduces manual errors and administrative burden while streamlining communication.
The system, developed using advanced technologies such as Java multi-tier architecture, Spring Boot, PostgreSQL, and Power BI, is designed to integrate regulatory submissions and CSE onboarding, with plans to expand towards XBRL-based digital reporting in the future.
Officials emphasized that the SSS would strengthen governance, improve investor confidence, and enhance the efficiency of capital market operations, marking a major step toward a fully digital and transparent stock market in Bangladesh.
