The share market is one of the weakest ‘pillars’ of the country: Dr. Salehuddin Ahmed

The former governor of Bangladesh Bank. Salehuddin Ahmed said, that after gaining independence, we got only one flag and national anthem. Because the other pillars inside it are very weak. He said Bangladesh has a pillar named ‘stock market’, but this pillar is also very weak.

He also said these things in the speech of the chief guest at a discussion meeting organized by the Economic Reports Forum (ERF) on Thursday (June 13).

The former governor said that the Sensex of the neighboring country’s stock market has risen to a unique height. And our country’s capital market is still weak.

He said that Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) is not coming into the country. The people of the country are not investing in the country, they are smuggling money abroad. Regulatory agencies as a whole have massive problems.
