On the third working day of the week, the country’s main stock market, Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), is trading on the rise. The main index increased by 84 points in the first two hours of trading on this day. However, the transactions have decreased compared to the same period of the previous working day.
According to sources, on Tuesday (29 October) two hours after the start of DSE trading i.e. till 12 noon, the main index of DSE or ‘DSEX’ increased by 84.86 points to 4 thousand 983 points.
Along with the main index, the Shariah Index or ‘DSES’ has increased by 16.46 points and the ‘DS-30’ index has increased by 43.17 points and stands at 1103 and 1849 points respectively.
A total of 138 crore 34 lakh shares and units were traded in DSE during the discussion period. 152 crore 86 lakh was traded during the same period on the previous working day.
Among the traded companies, the share price of 286 companies increased, 61 companies decreased and 39 companies remained unchanged.
