Stha Life Insurance Service, Development Meet Held in Magura

Faruk Magura Correspondent: With the slogan “Promise of a Secure Life”, a meeting focused on service expansion and organizational development for Astha Life Insurance Company Limited, a life insurance provider under the Bangladesh Army Welfare Trust, took place at the Magura branch. This all-day development meeting was conducted at Tasnim Manzil (2nd Floor), Jame Masjid Road, Purbasha Mor, Magura, organized by the Astha Life Insurance Magura Branch on Saturday, August 9, starting at 11 am.

The event was led by Md. Delwar Hossain, the Manager of Astha Life Insurance Magura Branch.

Brigadier General Shah Sagirul Islam ndc, AFWC, psc (retd), the Chief Executive Officer, attended as the chief guest.

Special guests included Assistant Manager ASM Zaman Khan, Assistant Manager Riaz Ahmed, a representative from the Underwriting Department (Description) at the Dhaka Head Office, and Senior Executive Officer from the IT Department, Abdullah Al Mamun.

Also in attendance were Magura Astha Life Insurance Branch Unit Manager Md. Alamgir Hossain, Md. Badshah Mia, Md. Baharul Alam, FA Md. Idris Ali, and the Financial Associate (FA) staff working at the Magura Branch.

During the event, Chief Guest Brigadier General Shah Sagirul Islam NDC, AFWC, PSC (Retd) stated that a financial associate at Astha Life Insurance Company Limited is regarded by the company as a non-combatant soldier. If a policy is canceled before its term, the policyholder will receive a 20% return on their principal. Additionally, efforts are underway to increase this return to 50%-60%. Many individuals have inquired whether Astha Life Insurance Company Limited, the sole life insurance provider of the Bangladesh Army, is affiliated with the army. In response, he clarified that the Chairman of Astha Life Insurance Company Limited is General Waqar-uz-Zaman, the Chief of the Bangladesh Army.
