Majid Natore Correspondent: Youth and Sports Advisor Asif Mahmud Sajeeb Bhuiyan announced that mini stadiums will be constructed in every upazila across the country in phases. These facilities will extend beyond mere buildings and fields—their primary objective is to ensure the ongoing development of sports and to cultivate players of national and international caliber.
He stated, “Spectators will not visit the stadium merely to admire the structure; they will come to enjoy the game. Thus, the upazila administration and sports organizations must remain proactive to prevent the stadiums from becoming obsolete.”
The advisor mentioned that the construction of 150 mini stadiums nationwide is currently advancing swiftly and will be finalized shortly.
He made these remarks following the inauguration of the Sadar Upazila Mini Stadium in Kanaikhali, Natore this morning. During the event, he also unveiled the inaugural plaques for 14 additional mini stadiums across the country, including those in Natore. After the inauguration, prayers and supplications were conducted, and the advisor toured the stadium.
The event was graced by the presence of Secretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports Md. Mahbur-ul-Alam, Natore Deputy Commissioner Asma Shaheen, Superintendent of Police Amjad Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Abul Hayat, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Mahmuda Sharmin Neli, along with various government officials from the district.
Subsequently, he participated in a function held at the Zilla Parishad Minarayan in Natore as the chief guest.
