Imran Jhenaidah: In alignment with the motto “We all have the responsibility to build a green world,” tree saplings have been given to school students in Jhenaidah to help maintain environmental balance. Environmentalist Zahir Raihan handed out the saplings at Kumrabaria Konejpur Government Primary School in Sadar Upazila on Monday morning. Present at the event were the school’s headmaster Rashedul Islam, along with assistant teachers Haider Ali, Alamgir Hossain, Ismat Ara, and others.

During the tree sapling distribution ceremony, Zahir Raihan remarked, “Just as we breathe every day, we have a duty to give back to the earth daily. Planting trees is the simplest way to fulfill that duty. These trees are being distributed to raise students’ awareness about the environment.”

Subsequently, saplings of fruit, forest, and medicinal plants were given to 114 students of the school.
