Robi declares 15pc cash dividend

Telecom sector company Robi Axiata, listed on the capital market, has declared a dividend for the financial year ended December 31, 2024. The company will pay a 15 percent dividend to shareholders for the year in question. All of which is in cash. Last year, the company paid a 10 percent cash dividend.

The decision regarding the dividend was taken after reviewing and approving the audited financial report of the latest financial year at the company’s board of directors meeting held on Monday (February 17). This information was disclosed by company sources.

At the end of the board meeting today, Robi organized an online press conference to present various information from the last year’s financial report, including the dividend.

It was informed at the conference that Robi’s profit in 2024 more than doubled compared to 2023. Robi Axiata’s profit at the end of last year increased to about Tk 702 crore. The company’s profit in 2023 was Tk 320 crore.

Robi’s earnings per share (EPS) for the latest year was 1 taka 34 paisa, up from 61 paisa in the previous year. The company’s EPS has increased by 119 percent year-on-year.

The company’s cash flow per share for the year under review was 8 taka 83 paisa, up from 7 taka 79 paisa in the previous year.

Robi’s annual general meeting (AGM) will be held on April 21. The record date for this has been set for March 16.
