Nazrul Rajbari Correspondent: In light of the recent passage of the Homeopathic Medical Education Act-2023 by the National Parliament, a human chain event has been organized to protest against the harassment, conspiracy, and misinformation targeting registered homeopathic doctors.
On the morning of Saturday, August 30, a human chain was formed by the faculty, staff, and students of Rajbari Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital on the college grounds.
During this event, the acting principal of Rajbari Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Md. Hafizur Rahman, who is also the Amir of Rajbari Municipality Jamaat-e-Islami, along with Associate Professor Bakul Hossain, teacher representative Amirul Islam, and others addressed the gathering.
The speakers expressed their concern that the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BMDC) is misleading the public by disseminating false, unfounded, and conspiratorial claims against homeopathic practitioners. They firmly condemned and protested this behavior. Homeopathic doctors will adhere to their own regulations as outlined in the Bangladesh Homeopathic Medical Education Act-2023, and homeopathic treatment will not be permitted under the BMDC’s regulations.
