Aftab Feni Correspondent: Asian College Feni has awarded scholarships to 175 students in Feni under the Asian Talent Development Scholarship.
Feni’s Deputy Director of Local Government Department and Municipal Administrator Golam Mohammad Baten was the chief guest at the scholarship distribution ceremony organized by Asian College at the Royal Salmon Convention Hall on Shaheed Shahidullah Kaiser Road in the city on Saturday, August 30.
Feni Collegiate School Principal Abdul Barik presided over the event, which was moderated by Asian College Acting Principal MA Kalam. Special guests included SM Humayun Patwari, Director of the School of Leadership, United States Development Agency and Senior Joint General Secretary of Canada BNP, and former Ameer of Jamaat Professor Liaquat Ali Bhuiyan.
Also present at the scholarship awarding ceremony were College Teachers Association General Secretary Morshed Hossain, Feni District Teachers Association President AKM Shamsul Islam, General Secretary Alamgir Chowdhury, and Public Rights Council Noakhali District General Secretary Abdur Rahim.
Journalists, parents, teachers and dignitaries were present at the event. The guests presented awards to the meritorious students who received scholarships.
The chief guest said in his speech, “God has given talent to everyone, we have to evaluate these talents. Our country’s talented people are going to different countries with scholarships, and we are losing talented people.”
In his speech as a special guest, Humayun Patwari said that scholarships will play a helpful role in the development of talent and leadership. He emphasized the importance of taking care of children from the womb, sports and entertainment to build a beautiful Bangladesh and an educated and healthy nation.
