Pubali Bank PLC has been serving as a symbol of trust, service excellence, and ethical banking in Bangladesh’s financial sector for nearly seven decades. In its continued commitment to customer data protection, ethical banking practices, and adherence to international standards, the bank has achieved another significant milestone.
By attaining the internationally recognized Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) Certification, Pubali Bank PLC has further strengthened its commitment to ensuring the highest level of security and reliability in its card-based and digital transaction services, reinforcing customer confidence and trust.
Following the guidelines of Bangladesh Bank, Pubali Bank PLC initiated its PCI-DSS compliance program in mid-2022. This extensive and challenging process involved identifying technical gaps, modernizing systems and security infrastructure, upgrading to the latest PCI-DSS version, and successfully completing all required compliance stages. Through sustained effort, effective coordination, and professional management, the bank fulfilled all stipulated requirements and achieved PCI-DSS Certification for the first time on 31 December 2025.
The certification was issued by Control Case, a PCI SSC–approved Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), with M/s I-Clique Solutions Limited serving as the local partner of Pubali Bank PLC throughout the compliance and assessment process.
The successful achievement of this certification was made possible through the collective and coordinated contributions of several key divisions of Pubali Bank PLC, including the ICT Operations Division, Card Operations Division, Software Development Division, Card Business Division, and the Alternative Delivery Channel (ADC) Division.
To formally recognize this important milestone and to honor the contributions of all stakeholders involved, a PCI-DSS Certification Award Ceremony was held at the Board Room of Pubali Bank PLC’s Head Office. On this occasion, the internationally recognized PCI-DSS Certification was formally handed over to the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Pubali Bank PLC, Mohammad Ali.
The ceremony was attended by the bank’s Deputy Managing Directors– Mohammad Esha, Mohammad Shahadat Hossain, Ahmed Enayet Manzur, Md. Shahnewaz Khan, and Md. Anisuzzaman.
Suresh Dadlani, President of Control Case International, joined the event virtually. Muhammad Asaduzzaman, Senior Consultant and QSA Representative of Control Case; Maruf Alam, Chairman of M/s I-Clique Solutions Limited, Md. Mostafijul Hoq, Chief Operating Officer of M/s I-Clique Solutions Limited; and Jalal Zahidur Rahman, Representative of CMS Solution were also present.

Through this achievement, Pubali Bank PLC has further strengthened its position as a provider of secure, reliable, and internationally compliant digital and card-based banking services.
Committed to safeguarding customer trust and following global best practices in modern banking, Pubali Bank PLC will continue to uphold responsible, ethical, and secure banking operations in the future.
