The Premier Bank PLC. has achieved another significant milestone in information security and cybersecurity management. The Bank’s Information Security Management System (ISMS) has been successfully certified in accordance with the internationally recognized ISO 27001:2022 standard. The scope of this certification includes the following divisions: Information Technology Division (ITD), IT Security & Governance Division (ITSGD), Human Resources Division (HRD), as well as the Data Center and Disaster Recovery Site. To mark this achievement, the certification was formally handed over to Md. Monzur Mofiz, Managing Director of The Premier Bank PLC at its Head Office, Shanta Pinnacle, by the relevant authorities.
The ceremony was attended by: Mirza Azhar Ahmad, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Operating Officer; Anirban Haq, SEVP & Chief Risk Officer (Acting); Md. Kamruzzaman, SEVP & Head of Consumer Banking Division; Abu Md. Sabbir Hassan Chowdhury, EVP & CITO; Sheikh Mohammad Fuad, EVP & Head of ADC Division; Md. Moinul Huq Shiraze, VP & Head of HR (In‑Charge); Md. Fazlur Rahman, FVP & Head of GSD (CC); Kh. Golam Sarwar, SAVP & CISO along with other senior officials of the Bank.
Representing Bureau Veritas, one of Bangladesh’s leading international Testing, Inspection and Certification (TIC) bodies, was Mr. Tarek Ahmed, Regional Manager (Marketing & Sales). Also present on behalf of EIC Limited, the consulting firm that supported the certification process, was its Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Moshiul Islam.
