PM chairs high-level meeting on closed factories

B Mirror Report:  A high-level meeting chaired by the Prime Minister was held on Thursday to discuss the reopening and management of factories currently under the Ministry of Industries that have remained closed.

The meeting took place in the morning at the Cabinet Division of the Bangladesh Secretariat, according to Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary-1 Zahidul Islam Rony, who confirmed the development to the media.

During the meeting, participants reviewed the current condition of various closed industrial units under the Ministry of Industries. Discussions focused on the economic and technical feasibility of restarting operations, as well as measures to ensure efficient and sustainable management of the factories.

Senior officials from the Ministry of Industries and the Cabinet Division attended the meeting and exchanged views on potential strategies for reviving the industrial establishments and enhancing their operational efficiency.

The discussions are expected to contribute to future policy decisions regarding the utilization and management of state-owned industrial assets.
