A discussion meeting and doa mahfil were held at the head office of Janata Bank PLC on Wednesday to mark the 45th death anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman. The event was jointly organized by the Janata Bank Nationalist Employees Union, Zia Parishad–Janata Bank Central Committee, Nationalist Bankers Association Bangladesh–Janata Bank Central Committee, and Janata Bank Nationalist Officers Welfare Association Central Committee. Speakers at the discussion included Muhammad Fazlur Rahman, Chairman of the bank’s Board of Directors; Md. Mujibur Rahman, Managing Director; Kazi Abdur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director; as well as leaders of various participating organizations, including Md. Rafiqul Islam, President of the Nationalist Employees Union; Monirul Islam, Convener of Zia Parishad; Shah Jahan, President of the Nationalist Bankers Association; and Saiful Abedin Selim, President of the Officers Welfare Association. The program was moderated by Md. Ruhul Amin, General Secretary of the Nationalist Bankers Association. At the end of the meeting, a special prayer was offered seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman. Executives, officers, and employees of the bank’s head office were present at the event.
