The National Board of Revenue (NBR) has transferred and reassigned 36 additional tax commissioners of the BCS (Tax) cadre in a major reshuffle.

The Internal Resources Division issued a notification in this regard on Sunday. Wakiul Ahmed, first secretary, signed the notification detailing the transfers and new postings.

According to the notification, Dipak Kumar Chakraborty has been transferred from Appellate Range-1 of the Tax Appeals Zone-Chattogram to Appellate Range-1 of Tax Appeals Zone-02, Chattogram. Mohammad Abdullah has been posted to Inspection Range-1 of Dhaka Tax Zone-11 from his position as additional director general of the Tax Inspection Directorate.

Mohammad Shahadat Hossain has been transferred from Inspection Range-1 of Dhaka Tax Zone-22 to Inspection Range-1 of Dhaka Tax Zone-04. Mohammad Moinul Hasan has been transferred from the NBR’s Income Tax Intelligence and Investigation Unit to Inspection Range-1 of Dhaka Tax Zone-01.

Ivana Afroze Sayeed has been transferred from the Withholding Tax Management Unit to the post of additional director general of the Tax Inspection Directorate.

Murad Ahmed has been transferred from Inspection Range-1 of the Jessore Tax Zone to Inspection Range-1 of Dhaka Tax Zone-03, while Shahidul Islam has been moved from Inspection Range-1 of Chattogram Tax Zone-03 to Inspection Range-1 of Chattogram Tax Zone-01.

Masudul Karim Bhuiyan has been transferred from Inspection Range-1 of Dhaka Tax Zone-18 to Inspection Range-1 of Dhaka Tax Zone-02.

Among other transfers, Hasina Akhter has been moved from Inspection Range-1 of Dhaka Tax Zone-16 to the NBR’s Income Tax Intelligence and Investigation Unit. Reagan Chandra Dey has been transferred from Inspection Range-2 of Dhaka Tax Zone-06 to Inspection Range-1 of Dhaka Tax Zone-13, while Farzana Nazneen has been moved from Inspection Range-2 of Dhaka Tax Zone-01 to Appellate Range-2 of Tax Appeals Zone-01.

Sultana Habib has been transferred from Inspection Range-2 of Dhaka Tax Zone-22 to Inspection Range-1 of the same zone.

Kamrul Hasan has been transferred from the Income Tax Intelligence and Investigation Unit to Inspection Range-1 of Dhaka Tax Zone-18. Sheikh Md Kamruzzaman has been moved from additional director general of the Tax Inspection Directorate to Inspection Range-1 of Dhaka Tax Zone-16.

Ariful Haque has been transferred from Appellate Range-2 of Tax Appeals Zone-01 to the post of first secretary (Tax) at the NBR.

The notification also announced several transfers involving officials currently holding additional or temporary responsibilities. Tania Sultana has been moved from Appellate Range-2 of Tax Appeals Zone-03 to Inspection Range-2 of Dhaka Tax Zone-22, while Maruf Ul Abedin has been transferred from Inspection Range-1 of the Faridpur Tax Zone to Appellate Range-2 of Tax Appeals Zone-03.

Tanvir Morshed has been transferred from Inspection Range-1 of Chattogram Tax Zone-02 to the NBR’s Income Tax Intelligence and Investigation Unit.

Taslimа Islam and Rashedul Hasan have both been transferred to Inspection Range-1 of Chattogram Tax Zone-02 from Inspection Range-2 of the same zone.

Saifur Rahman has been transferred from Inspection Range-4 of Dhaka Tax Zone-01 to the NBR’s International Tax Unit. Mustaba Ishtiaq Ahmed has been moved from joint tax commissioner of the Income Tax Intelligence and Investigation Unit to Appellate Range-1 of Tax Appeals Zone-02, while Dipak Kumar Pal has been transferred from joint director general of the Tax Inspection Directorate to Inspection Range-2 of Dhaka Tax Zone-06.

The notification further said Tarang Kumar Mondal has been transferred from Inspection Range-03 of Dhaka Tax Zone-05 to Inspection Range-1 of the Narayanganj Tax Zone. Farhana Sheikh has been appointed additional tax commissioner of the Withholding Tax Management Unit from her position as joint director general of the Tax Inspection Directorate.

Amit Kumar Das has been transferred from the Withholding Tax Management Unit to the post of first secretary (Tax) at the NBR.

Farzanul Islam has been transferred from joint director of the NBR’s Central Intelligence Cell to additional director general of the Tax Inspection Directorate. Sonali Biswas has been moved from Inspection Range-3 of Dhaka Tax Zone-24 to Inspection Range-2 of Dhaka Tax Zone-09, while Pranab Sarker has been transferred from Inspection Range-3 of Dhaka Tax Zone-17 to Appellate Range-1 of the Rangpur Tax Appeals Zone.

Abul Kalam Azad has been transferred from Inspection Range-3 of Dhaka Tax Zone-15 to Inspection Range-1 of the Jessore Tax Zone. Mohammad Daud Hossain has been moved from the NBR’s Income Tax Intelligence and Investigation Unit to Appellate Range-1 of Tax Appeals Zone-06.

Enamul Kabir has been transferred from Inspection Range-3 of the Cumilla Tax Zone to the post of director of the Dhaka BCS (Tax) Academy.

Bapon Chandra Das has been transferred from Inspection Range-2 of the Noakhali Tax Zone to Inspection Range-1 of Chattogram Tax Zone-03. Mahidul Islam has been moved from Inspection Range-2 of Chattogram Tax Zone-02 to Inspection Range-1 of Chattogram Tax Zone-04.

Shafiul Islam has been transferred from Inspection Range-3 of Dhaka Tax Zone-02 to Inspection Range-2 of Chattogram Tax Zone-06.

In addition, SM Galib Faruk, who was recently given temporary charge, has been transferred from Inspection Range-4 of the Mymensingh Tax Zone to Inspection Range-1 of the Pabna Tax Zone.

The notification stated that if any official is already performing additional duties at a workplace where a transferred official has been posted, that additional assignment will be considered cancelled.

The transferred officials have been instructed to hand over their existing responsibilities and join their new workplaces immediately.
