Purabi General Insurance holds 38th AGM

The 38th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Purabi General Insurance Company Limited was held virtually today, August 30, 2026, at 12:00 Noon.

The meeting was chaired by Mr. Mojibul Islam-Chairman of the Company. Members of the Board of Directors, Mr. Sukumar Chandra Roy-Chief Executive Officer and Mr. Mohammad Abdul Malek-Chief Financial Officer were present at the meeting. Mr. Sohag Talukdar-Company Secretary conducted the entire proceedings. A large number of shareholders also attended the meeting through the virtual platform.

The shareholders received, considered and adopted the Directors’ Report, the Auditors’ Report and the Audited Financial Statements of the Company for the year ended December 31, 2025.

The meeting approved the 10% Cash Dividend recommended by the Board of Directors for the year 2025.

Under the special agenda, the shareholders also approved the proposal to change the name of the Company from “Purabi General Insurance Company Limited” to “Purabi General Insurance PLC” subject to the approval of the relevant regulatory authorities.

In his address, Mr. Mojibul Islam-Chairman of the Company, expressed his gratitude to the shareholders for their continued trust, support, and cooperation. He reaffirmed the Company’s commitment to further strengthening its business operations while ensuring good governance, transparency and accountability.

The shareholders attending the meeting expressed their satisfaction with the Company’s performance and management and wished the Company continued growth and success in the years ahead.
