Ms. Uzma Chowdhury elected as the new Chairperson of Meghna Bank

Ms. Uzma Chowdhury has been unanimously elected as the Chairperson
of Meghna Bank. A distinguished professional in the finance and banking
sector of Bangladesh, Ms. Chowdhury brings a wealth of experience and
expertise to her new role.
Ms. Chowdhury is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the State of
Texas, USA. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the
University of Texas at Dallas. Ms. Uzma Chowdhury has extensive
experience in the accounting profession, having worked for over seven
years in the petroleum industry in the United States. She also served as
Secretary of the Houston Chapter of the American Women’s Society for
CPAs for four years.
Since October 2008, Ms. Chowdhury has been serving as the Director-
Finance at Renowned PRAN-RFL Group, the largest and most diversified
conglomerate in Bangladesh. She is also a member of the Finance & Audit
Committee of the Under-Privileged Children Education Program (UCEP)
and a committee member of the Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce &
Industries (MCCI).

Meghna Bank is confident that under Uzma Chowdhury’s leadership, the
bank will continue to strengthen its position as a leading financial institution,
driving growth, innovation and excellence in the banking sector.
