According to the data published by Insurance Development and Regulatory Authority (IDRA), MetLife Bangladesh has settled the highest number of claims among all the life insurance companies in Bangladesh in the year 2024. The company settled 2,895 crore taka in claims that year. MetLife has maintained strong claims settlement ratio of 97.79%, also one of the highest settlement ratios in the industry.

Of the total claims settled, claims for health and medical expenses were 237 crore taka, death claims amounted to 140 crore taka, and maturity, partial maturity, and others were a total of 2,518 crore taka.

In the last 5 years (2020 – 2024) MetLife Bangladesh has settled more than 11,400 crore taka as insurance claims.

MetLife Bangladesh’s Chief Executive Officer, Ala Ahmad, said, “By settling the highest amount of claims in 2024, we’ve shown that MetLife stands firmly behind its commitment. Every claim we pay is a reflection of our promise to be there when our customers need us most.”
