Md. Saifuddin is the Commissioner of BSEC

The government has appointed another Commissioner for the capital market regulator Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC). He is Md. Saifuddin, CFA, Managing Director of IDLC Securities Limited. He has been appointed to this post for the next 4 years.

Today, Tuesday (July 29), the Financial Institutions Division of the Ministry of Finance issued a notification appointing Md. Saifuddin as the Commissioner.

The notification said that Md. Saifuddin CFA has been appointed as the Commissioner of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) for a period of 4 years from the date of his joining, on the condition that he renounces any other profession, business or employment relationship with any government, semi-government, private institution/organization. His salary, allowances and other benefits will be determined by the agreement signed with the government.

Md. Saifuddin is one of the top brokers in the country. He has been serving as the Managing Director of IDLC Securities, a subsidiary of IDLC Finance, since 2009.

Md. Saifuddin completed his post-graduation from Rajshahi University. Later, he obtained an MBA degree from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Dhaka University. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is a member of CFA Society Bangladesh. He is serving as the Senior Vice-President of DSE Brokers Association of Bangladesh (DBA).
