Statement by more than 600 ulama mashaykhs
Israeli-Indian agent Daily Prothom Alo should be banned as it is against the creed of Islam and a threat to the sovereignty of the country
The representative ulama-mashaykhs of the country have demanded the immediate ban of the Israeli-Indian agent Daily Prothom Alo, which is engaged in a multifaceted conspiracy to destabilize the country by pointing the finger at the thoughts, religious sentiments and beliefs of the majority of the people and opposing the creed of Islam and a threat to the sovereignty of the country.
In a statement sent to the media on Saturday, December 7, more than 600 ulama scholars of the country made the above demand and said that the Daily Prothom Alo newspaper is trying to prove Bangladesh as a fundamentalist, militant and failed state. They have been playing an active role since its inception in portraying religious education and the Muslim population in a bad light. They are implementing a mission to kill news about the contributions and programs of scholars and ulama. They are implementing the anti-Islam and anti-national agenda of foreign NGOs. They are continuing their campaign to curb the Muslim population. They are making all-out efforts to promote and spread obscenity. They are inventing new formulas to break the family structure and are working to implement them subtly. They are engaged in a despicable plot to establish a Kolkata-centric Hindu Bangla language against the traditional language of Muslim Bengal. They are inciting misogyny in the society and belittling the contribution of men. They are changing their tune every moment and misleading the public. This Prothom Alo newspaper has been working as a pro-India newspaper since its inception. It is desperately carrying out multifaceted activities in purposeful propaganda against madrassa education, the cradle of religious education.
Therefore, on behalf of the country’s scholars, we strongly demand that the interim head of government ban the Israeli-Indian agent Daily Prothom Alo, which is implementing an agenda to destroy the faith of the Islamic country and the Muslim population and is a threat to the sovereignty of the country. If the government does not implement this demand, the scholars will soon be forced to join the movement to protect the faith of the people, Islam and the country.
