Indonesia Seeks Collaboration with Rajshahi

Indonesia has expressed interest in collaborating with Rajshahi in agriculture, education, culture, and tourism to foster further development in these sectors.

Indonesian Ambassador to Bangladesh, Heru Hartanto Subolo, discussed this during a courtesy visit to Mayor AHM Khairuzzaman Liton at the Rajshahi City Corporation office. Mayor Liton extended his heartfelt gratitude to the ambassador for Indonesia’s interest in Rajshahi’s development.

Ambassador Subolo highlighted Indonesia’s quality educational institutions, including universities, and proposed initiatives such as offering one-year student scholarships and three-month art and culture scholarships to Indonesian institutions. He emphasized the potential for sharing knowledge and cultural exchanges between the two regions.

Furthermore, Indonesia is keen on collaborating on Rajshahi’s agricultural products and crops, aiming to enhance productivity and market reach.

Mayor Liton affirmed the mutual interest in various sectors, including agriculture, education, culture, and tourism. He also mentioned potential areas for cooperation, such as solar plant installations, student scholarships, and tourism development. Mayor Liton assured that detailed proposals would be communicated to the Indonesian envoy in writing.
