IFIC Bank Hands Over Startup Fund Cheque to Bangladesh Bank

As part of the initiatives undertaken in accordance with Bangladesh Bank’s directives on the formation and operational activities of Bangladesh Startup Investment Company PLC, IFIC Bank PLC has formally handed over a cheque amounting Taka 80,057,080 (BDT Eight Crore Fifty-Seven Thousand and Eighty only) to Bangladesh Bank.

The cheque was officially handed over on Thursday, 15 January 2026, to Mr. Nawshad Mustafa, Director of the SME & Special Programmes Department (SMEPSD) of Bangladesh Bank. IFIC Bank PLC was represented by Mr. Md. Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Managing Director & Chief of Branch Business, and Mr. Helal Ahmed, Head of Operations at the ceremony.

Through this initiative, IFIC Bank PLC has reaffirmed its strong commitment to the policy initiatives of Bangladesh Bank and continues to play an active role in strengthening the country’s startup ecosystem. The Bank remains dedicated to promoting innovation, entrepreneurship development and sustainable economic growth in Bangladesh.
