Honorable Sponsor Director and Former Chairman of Southeast Bank PLC. Azim Uddin Ahmed breathed his last on 01 August 2025 (Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un). We are deeply shocked by his passing and express our heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the members of the bereaved family.

Azim Uddin Ahmed was born on June 30, 1940, into a respected Muslim family. He was a member of the Board of Directors and also served as Chairman of the Board’s Risk Management Committee. He was a well-known business personality in the country. He was the Chairman of Mutual Group and AD Holdings Limited, and also served as Director and former Chairman of Arla Foods Bangladesh Limited.

He was a founding life member of the Board of Trustees of North South University. He was the immediate past Chairman of the North South University Board of Trustees and a founding life member of the North South University Foundation.

His contributions to education and social welfare were also remarkable. In his home district of Feni, he established several institutions including a mosque. He was also actively involved in various philanthropic and community welfare initiatives, always extending a generous hand of support.
