A participation agreement was signed on Wednesday, September 30, 2026,  between Bangladesh Bank and Karmasangsthan Bank at the Bangladesh Bank head office to facilitate loan disbursement under Bangladesh Bank’s 1,000 crore pre-financing fund; the initiative aims to support self-employment and new economic activities for unemployed youths both men and women-who possess training and practical experience in the fisheries and livestock sectors.

At the event, A.K.M. Sayduzzaman, Director of Agricultural Credit Department-2, signed the agreement on behalf of Bangladesh Bank, while Arun Kumar Chowdhury, Managing Director, signed on behalf of Karmasangsthan Bank.

Muhammad Ansarul Kabir, Additional Director of Agricultural Credit Department-2, and Tanjia Sultana, Joint Director of Bangladesh Bank; along with Md. Shafiqul Islam Mian, General Manager of Karmasangsthan Bank; Md. Moshiur Rahman, Deputy General Manager of the Loan and Advance Department; and Mohammad Zakir Hossain, Deputy General Manager of the Central Accounts and Fund Management Department, among others, were present at the event.
