FBCCI Seeks Australian Investment in Bangladesh’s Promising Sectors

The Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) has called on Australian businesses to invest in Bangladesh’s promising sectors, alongside strengthening trade relations. The FBCCI reaffirmed its commitment to providing all necessary support to Australian investors to set up industries and conduct business smoothly in Bangladesh.

This appeal was made by FBCCI Vice President Dr. Jashoda Jibon Debnath while speaking at a seminar held in Sydney, Australia, on Wednesday, May 29.

The seminar, titled “Strengthening Bilateral Trade and Investment between Bangladesh and Australia,” was organized by the FBCCI in collaboration with the Bangladesh High Commission in Canberra and the Bangladesh Consulate General in Sydney.

Dr. Jashoda Jibon Debnath highlighted that while there is significant potential for trade between Bangladesh and Australia, it has not yet been fully leveraged.

He emphasized the immense potential in the economic and business relations between Bangladesh and Australia, particularly in key sectors such as the pharmaceutical industry, IT services, agricultural technology, renewable energy, and education, urging for more joint ventures between the two countries.
