DSE’s P/E Ratio Drops by 3% in the Outgoing Week

The price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) declined during the outgoing week (November 9–13). According to the DSE’s weekly market review, the overall P/E ratio fell by 3 percent over the week.

Data shows that at the beginning of the week, the DSE’s P/E ratio stood at 9.61 points. By the end of the week, it had dropped to 8.57 points. This means the P/E ratio decreased by 0.26 points, or 3 percent, within the weekly span.

Market analysts note that this decline in the P/E ratio reflects a shift in the relationship between market value and earnings, which may influence investor sentiment and decision-making.
