Janata Bank MD Md. Mujibur Rahman presided over an exchange meeting with the representatives of various exchange houses in the country at Janata Bank Plc’s head office on Wednesday afternoon, 22nd January, 25th. The representatives of seven exchange houses and DMDs of the bank Md. Golam Mortuza and Md. Nurul Alam, FCMA, FCA (CFO) along with GM, DGM and other officials were present in the meeting.

The representatives of exchange houses emphasized on technical development, customer service intelligence and ensuring competitive exchange rates to increase foreign remittance flow. Janata Bank MD Md. Mujibur Rahman highlighted the important contribution of Janata Bank in industrial and commercial sector including investment in various projects of industrial development, electricity and energy sector of the country. He requested the exchange house representatives to cooperate with Janata Bank’s remittance intelligence. It is noted that Janata Bank Plc has achieved the third position in Bangladesh in terms of remittance collection in the financial year 2023-24.
