Dhaka Stock Exchange sees positive start

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country’s main capital market, witnessed an upswing on Sunday, the first working day of the week. Share prices of most listed companies increased, and trading activity saw a rise compared to the previous day.

DSE’s key index, DSEX, climbed 76.41 points to close at 5,692 points. Similarly, DSES and DS-30 indices also rose, gaining 18.55 points and 25.59 points respectively, reaching 1,250 points and 2,233 points.

Trading value on DSE reached Tk. 817.76 crore, exceeding the previous day’s Tk. 710.62 crore. A total of 401 companies participated in trading, with 259 experiencing price increases, 98 facing price declines, and 44 remaining unchanged.
