Chief Advisor Calls for Transparency in July Charter Preparation

Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor, has directed that the July Charter preparation process be open and visible. The directive was issued by the Chief Advisor and Commission Head, Professor Muhammad Yunus, during a meeting of the National Consensus Commission held at the State Guest House Jamuna on Saturday, July 17.

The meeting included the Vice-Chairman of the National Consensus Commission, Professor Ali Riaz, along with members Dr. Badiul Alam Majumder, Dr. Iftekharuzzaman, Safar Raj Hossain, Justice Emdadul Haque, and Dr. Mohammad Ayub Mia. Also present were Siraj Uddin Mia, Principal Secretary to the Chief Advisor, and Monir Haider, Special Assistant to the Chief Advisor.

During the meeting, the Chief Advisor received updates on the progress of the Consensus Commission’s activities. The commission members reported that they are making every effort to finalize the July Charter as quickly as possible.

The Chief Advisor praised the Consensus Commission members for their exceptional contributions and efforts. He noted that the public can follow these significant discussions, as every meeting of the Consensus Commission is broadcast live on television. This initiative has garnered widespread appreciation from both domestic and international audiences.
