Board meetings of 6 listed companies in the banking and insurance sector are scheduled to be held today. Among the companies, 3 belong to the banking sector and the remaining 3 belong to the insurance sector. The unaudited financial report for the second quarter of the current financial year 2024 (April’24-June’24) will be presented in the meeting. If the board approves the report, the companies will publish it.
The companies involved are Mutual Trust Bank, NRBC Bank, Citibank, Crystal Insurance, Standard Insurance and Continental Insurance.
Mutual Trust Bank (MTB): The board meeting of the bank will be held today at 4 pm. MTB’s consolidated earnings per share (EPS) for the fiscal year ended 2023 stood at Tk 2.91 paise, as against Tk 2.41 paise in the previous fiscal. On the other hand, the EPS of the bank in the first quarter of this year (January-March) was 78 paisa.
