Ananda Kumar Swar, Khulna Correspondent: Md. Shahidul Islam, Managing Director (MD) of Bangladesh Cable Industries Limited, Khulna, said that everyone must come forward in the spirit of humanity. He emphasized the need to stand beside helpless people in all adversities, including natural disasters. With sincere goodwill, nothing is impossible, he added. He also called upon the affluent to support the underprivileged during this bone-chilling winter in the country.

He made these remarks yesterday, Wednesday, at 11:00 a.m. while distributing blankets among destitute cold-stricken people in front of the main gate of Shiromoni Cable Industries Limited, as part of humanitarian and social responsibility, following the directives of the Board of Directors of the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications.

Also present at the event were Md. Moslem Uddin, GM of BAKESHI Khulna; MM Mahidul Islam, Manager (Coordination); Md. Enamul Haque; Md. Arifur Rahman; Md. Mokhlesur Rahman; Md. Shahjahan, President of the CBA; Md. Alamgir Hossain, General Secretary; Md. Murad Hossain, along with CBA leaders and officials and employees from various levels.

It is worth mentioning that on the night of December 30, similar winter clothing was distributed among disadvantaged and poor communities at various locations, including Khulna Railway Station, New Market area, Khalishpur New Road, Daulatpur Railway Station, Phultala Railway Station, and Noapara Railway Station (Jashore). This initiative created a positive impact on society and enhanced the organization’s social image. As this marks the first such exemplary initiative by the organization, local well-wishers have praised all those involved and urged that such programs be continued in the future.
