The Awami League has challenged the Center for Policy Dialogue (CPD) to provide details about its claim that Bangladesh’s banking sector lost Tk92,261 crore due to major scams since 2008.
General Secretary Obaidul Quader, responding to the CPD report, said, “The money will be brought back to the country if the organization provides detailed information. Where has the money gone? We want to know that.”
Quader, highlighting the lack of clarity in the CPD report, further stated, “Whether it’s Debapriya or Mustafiz who authored the report, we demand information on the whereabouts of the money. We are committed to bringing those funds back.”
