AB Bank PLC. has elected Mr. Md. Fazlur Rahman, FCA, as the Chairman of its Board of Directors, effective from June 18, 2026.

Before assuming this role, Mr. Rahman served as the Vice Chairman of the Bank. He joined AB Bank as a Vice President in 1997 and later served as its President and Managing Director from 2012 to 2014. During this period, the Bank achieved several notable financial milestones under his leadership.

Mr. Rahman is a Chartered Accountant with extensive experience in banking, financial management, and strategic planning. He has been widely recognized for advancing the capital markets and spearheading investment banking.

In addition to his professional responsibilities, he has authored several analytical articles on banking and financial sector issues, which have been published in leading national daily newspapers in Bangladesh.
