Renowned cartoonist, National Artist, and Ekushey Padak laureate Rafiqun Nabi celebrated his 80th birthday with a vibrant program at the Faculty of Fine Arts on Tuesday.

To mark the occasion, the faculty’s Zainul Gallery hosted an exhibition of Nabi’s cover art, posters, and other artworks. Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor ASM Maksud Kamal was the chief guest at the exhibition’s inauguration.

The celebrations at Bakultala, Faculty of Fine Arts, included artist felicitations, discussion sessions, and a captivating cultural performance. Asaduzzaman Noor, MP, presided over the program.

Education Minister Dipu Moni, MP, Emeritus Prof. Nazrul Islam, Emeritus Prof. Hashem Khan, Emeritus Prof. Atiur Rahman, artist Mustafa Monowar, Dean of the Faculty of Fine Arts Nisar Hossain, dramatist Ramendra Majumder, and others participated in the discussion meeting.
