Community Bank concludes SICIP entrepreneurship development program

Enhancing Business Skills and Promoting Sustainable Employment Remain the Key Objectives

Community Bank Bangladesh PLC., in collaboration with Bangladesh Bank, has successfully concluded the “Entrepreneurship Development Program” under the “Skills for Industry Competitiveness and Innovation Program (SICIP).”

The closing ceremony was held at the Community Bank Training Academy in Gulshan, Dhaka, where emphasis was placed on developing entrepreneurial skills, fostering innovation, and strengthening industrial competitiveness. 23 young and new entrepreneurs were successfully completed the course and received certificate from the chief guest.

Mr. Nawshad Mustafa, Director of the SMESPD Department of Bangladesh Bank, attended the program as the Chief Guest. The event was presided over by Mr. Shamsul Haque Sufyani, Managing Director (Current Charge), CAMLCO & Chief Operating Officer of Community Bank Bangladesh PLC. Mr. Mohammad Ariful Islam, Deputy Director and Program Coordinator of Bangladesh Bank, attended as the Special Guest.

Among others present at the event were Mr. Hossain-Al-Safeer Chowdhury, Head of SME and Program Coordinator; Mr. H. M. Mahedi Hasan, Manager (Learning & Development); Mr. Sharif Hasan Mamun, Head of Agri; along with senior officials from Bangladesh Bank and Community Bank Bangladesh PLC.

The program was implemented under the initiative of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, with Bangladesh Bank serving as the executing agency and financial support provided by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

The initiative primarily aims to enhance business competencies, develop skilled human resources, promote entrepreneurship, and strengthen the country’s economic competitiveness.
