Dhaka University Vice-Chancellor ASM Maqsood Kamal emphasized the importance of acquiring technical and linguistic skills in addition to textbook knowledge for students seeking a successful career.
During a seminar titled “Employability Skills for Career Planning in Japan” held at the Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building on Tuesday, Kamal urged students to expand their skillset beyond academic knowledge.
The seminar was jointly organized by the Department of Japanese Studies, the Tourism and Hospitality Management Department, the Institute of Information Technology, and Japan-Bangladesh Education Development Limited.
BM Mainul Hossain, Jahangir Alam, and Shoeb-ur-Rahman headed the event. Ax Publishing Manager Yuichiro Tsukada and Japanese Language specialist Marie Kawakubo were also present at the seminar.
