On the first working day of the week, the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) concluded trading with a drop in the price index. During this period, 232 companies experienced a decline in their prices. Conversely, the trading volume in terms of taka saw a decrease.
On Sunday (July 27), the primary index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), known as ‘DSEX’, decreased by 37.21 points, bringing the index to a current level of 5,354 points.
Additionally, another index of the DSE, ‘DSES’, fell by 8.13 points to reach 1,164 points, while the ‘DS-30’ index dropped by 31.62 points to settle at 2,058 points.
Today, shares and units valued at 865.415 crore taka were traded on the DSE. In comparison, the previous working day saw transactions totaling 951.7846 crore taka.
A total of 399 shares and units from various companies were exchanged on the DSE today. Among the companies involved in the transactions, the prices of 117 companies rose, while 232 companies saw their prices decline. Furthermore, the prices of shares and units for 50 companies remained stable.
