A fire broke out in SBAC Bank in Satkhira due to the explosion of a fridge. However, no one was injured in the incident, the fire service said. However, no casualty was reported.

The fire broke out in the building of the bank in Sultanpur of the city on Saturday (October 12) around 9:30 pm. Later, the fire service personnel came and brought the fire under control.

Deputy Assistant Director of Satkhira Fire Service Station Saifuzzaman said, it is believed that a refrigerator inside the bank exploded and started the fire. On receiving the information, the fire service immediately reached there and brought the fire under control. The extent of the damage is not yet known. The vault and other belongings of the bank are intact.

GM Abdul Quader, manager of SBAC Bank’s Satkhira branch, said that the people of the house informed the security guard Mamun Gazi and Yunus Ali after seeing the coil of smoke from the house behind the building. Later, when the security guards informed me, I immediately informed the fire service. Later, the fire service personnel came and brought the fire under control. A fridge in the kitchen was burnt. However, there was no damage inside.
