Sheikh Kabir Hossain has resigned from the post of chairman of the reorganized board of directors of Far East Islami Life Insurance. Citing health and personal reasons, he submitted his resignation to the capital market regulator Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) and the board of directors of the insurance company on Wednesday (August 14).
In the resignation letter, Sheikh Kabir Hossain mentioned that he was earlier nominated by the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission as an independent director of Far East Islami Life and the board of directors of the company assigned him the post of chairman of the company. So far he has performed the duties entrusted to him with honesty and devotion.
However, due to his health and personal reasons, it is not possible to perform the duties of the Chairman of Far East Islami Life Insurance Company. Therefore, he resigned as Chairman of Far East Islami Life Insurance with effect from 14 August 2024.
In his resignation letter, he expressed his gratitude and thanks to all the members of the board of directors, all the officers and employees at all levels of the company for providing all possible cooperation in performing the duties as the chairman of Far East Islami Life Insurance.
