Social Islami Bank MD mets Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia

A meeting was held between H.E. Dr. Javed Patwary, BPM (Bar), Bangladesh Ambassador to Saudi Arabia and Zafar Alam, Managing Director & CEO of Social Islami Bank, recently. 

The meeting addressed various topics, including boosting remittance flows through legal channels and collaborating with the Embassy to enhance expatriates’ standards of living. Additionally, plans were discussed to establish a branch in the Kingdom and collaborate with Saudi banks for trade-finance facilitation, reads a press release.  

The MD & CEO of the Bank was also accompanied by Mohammad Habibur Rahman, Deputy Managing Director, and Towhid Hossain, SEVP & Head of IRMD-1, during the visit. 

Zafar Alam, MD & CEO, reaffirmed his commitment to supporting Bangladeshi expatriates and strengthening economic ties between Bangladesh and Saudi Arabia. He also said that we are ready to explore avenues for cooperation and collaboration to benefit the expatriate communities.
